Born In Norman, Oklahoma as James Bumgarner. His youth was spent in poverty. With his mother dying very early on. He was just eight year old, when he had to go work to help pay the bills. “God, I worked,” he told TV Guide in 1975. “I worked harder than anybody.” Garner mowed lawns, mopped floors, worked in the oil fields of Texas, and, after moving to California, laid carpet with his father in the City of Angels.  In 1955, Garner signed onto Warner Bros. as a set extra. Later that year, he did a few guest shots on the studio’s popular TV western show “Cheyenne.” Two years after that, he was appearing with Marlon Brando on the big screen. Then Garner landed a TV western of his own, starring as the gun shy cowboy known as “Maverick”, Garner became a hit, the hottest actor on television!

Adair “Will” Rogers was an American cowboy, vaudeville performer, humorist, social commentator and motion picture actor. He was one of the world’s best-known celebrities. Known as “Oklahoma’s Favorite Son,” Rogers was born to a prominent Cherokee Nation family in Indian Territory (Oologah, Oklahoma). He traveled around the world three times, made 71 movies (50 silent films), wrote more than 4,000 nationally-syndicated newspaper columns. Rogers was adored by the American people. He was the leading political wit of the Progressive Era, and was the top-paid Hollywood movie star at the time.

Brooks has enjoyed one of the most successful careers in music history, breaking records for both sales and concert attendance throughout his four decade career. His music continues to sell extremely well and according to Nielsen he is the best-selling artist of all time.

He recorded and wrote hundreds of songs; he was the most successful singing cowboy, completing 93 movies and starring in 91 television productions.
